Our sister company Cóndor has been present for over 25 years in the district of Alto del Obispo and the sidewalks of San Agustin municipality. In search of a better quality of life for small farmers, a Community Garden has been established which offers education, food and recreation under the guidance of community mothers and minor protection through professional assistance. All this work is aimed at promoting social well-being to these community children. Cóndor’s work and operations in the coffee areas around Pitalito have been proved over the years: based on direct relationships and sourcing from individual farmers, including the provision of technical services for improved agricultural practices, and a strong focus on cup quality. Whilst Huila is naturally blessed with optimal coffee growing geography, the key to great quality coffees from the South of Huila is the growers. Of these growers, approximately 80% are cultivating coffee on less than 3 hectares of land. These small farms are tended by family only, leading to more thorough and intensive management practices, and great pride in the final product, this Alto del Obispo.
